Rhode Island-based seafood supplier The Town Dock promoted re-freshed Indian squid for the first time at a Boston expo.

"We normally promote our US squid, but there's a shortage so this is the first time we are featuring a different country," Andrew Marchall, national accounts manager, told IntraFish.

The refreshed Indian squid comes in 10-pound containers of rings, tentacles or tubes.

"It's a great foodservice item, available all year and it's price stable," Marchall said. "It takes the knife out of the chef's hand.
