Bumble Bee is "getting in on the snacking trend," VP of Sales Dan Gerlach told IntraFish.
The packaging for its effort in the category has changed -- the previously named "ready to eat" tuna and crackers combo is now titled "Snack on the Run" and the company is playing with new flavors, too.
"What we know is, flavor is hot today," Dave Melborne, senior vice president of consumer marketing and corporate social responsibility at the company, added to IntraFish.
The company is looking to produce flavors for younger consumers, while "re-positioning our products in a more contemporary way."
