With the Bristol Bay salmon season landing 11 million more fish than expected and the potential for some 72 million sockeye being caught in Canada's Fraser River this year, the price and sales of Chilean farmed salmon have been greatly reduced.
But not Verlasso. The partnership between chemical giant DuPont and salmon farming leader AquaChile has continued to see steady sales in the United States.
Scott Nichols, director of Verlasso, told IntraFish the demand for their fish is growing as more people hear the story of the fish, how it's raised, try it, and become repeat customers.
"It's
