The United States exported a total of 34,032 metric tons of lobster from January to September 2014. While this was only a 5 percent increase from last year’s total of 32,376 metric tons, the value saw a huge increase, rising to $434.9 million (€347.9 million), 22.7 up from the previous year’s value of $354.4 million (€283.5 million), according to the latest figures from the National Marine Fisheries Service.
