This week the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) released a series of videos, articles and podcasts, aimed at debunking the myths of aquaculture as part of its month-long celebration of seafood.
Among the materials is a list of 10 misconceptions about aquaculture and its relationship to the United States and the future of fish feed.
The US needs aquaculture to “generate a safe supply of healthy seafood for decades to come” as it is “the best thing we can do to minimize our environmental seafood-related footprint,” according to the list.
