Michigan-based Gordon Food Service announced Wednesday their acquisition of Atlanta-based Halperns' Steak and Seafood Company.
The 10-year-old Halperns' is a specialty distributor of high-quality meats and seafood and operates four production and distribution facilities in Atlanta, Baltimore, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The company serves independent and national chain customers, mainly on the US East Coast.
“The purchase of Halperns’ will enhance our capabilities to provide our customers with the highest quality fresh meat and seafood products,” said Jim Gordon, CEO of Gordon Food Service.
