Performance Food Group Company (PFG) recently completed the acquisition of US canned foods group Bar Harbor Seafood, part of a strategy to expand the group's seafood offerings.
The new group will be called Bar Harbor Seafood, a Performance Food Group Specialty Company.
Founder and owner of Bar Harbor Jeff Hazell was named president and will report to Jim Hope, PFG’s executive VP of operations.
“This acquisition will enable our Performance Foodservice division to expand its seafood offerings and strengthen its focus on independent street business and specialty customers in the Florida market," said Hope.
