US-based transducer manufacturer Airmar Technology Corporation acquired the commercial fishing division of Marport Deep Sea Technologies, following a long collaboration between the two companies in developing products.
According to Oskar Axelsson of Marport, they expect to continue to develop products in the same manner, with the focus on bringing new products in quickly with reduced lead times for existing products and improved distribution channels.
“Marport has spent the last 16 years engineering and developing robust products and providing excellent service to its customers worldwide,” he told IntraFish at the Danfish show in Aalborg, Denmark, last week.
