The US Department of Commerce can broaden its reconsideration of the results from a review of a dumping duty order on Chinese shrimp exporter Hilltop International, the US Court of International Trade ruled on Wednesday.

This would allow the DoC to examine new evidence regarding whether exporter Hilltop provided false and incomplete information, the court ruled.

It also ruled that after providing "compelling justification", the DoC can expand the scope of the court's Nov. 30 remand order — which concerned the results of the fifth administrative review of the duty order on certain frozen warmwater shrimp from China.
