The state of Norway said Tuesday it completed the process of a reverse Dutch auction, acquiring 9.46 million shares in Cermaq for a price of NOK 108 (€13.60/$17.70).

Under the auction process, all shares offered at or below this price have been purchased, the Norwegian state announced.

Following the acquisition, the Norwegian state owed 53.77 percent of the total shares issued, or 49.73 million shares. The state purchased 5 million more shares at a price of NOK 108 per share, bringing total ownership to 59.17
