The Dutch-based firm will initiate a study of the three brands, covering the 11 Western European countries where Unilever is active.
Unilver spokesman Trevor Gorin told IntraFish earlier press reports Unilever would review its entire frozen foods division, including ice cream, were innaccurate. Only the ready-meals, vegetables and fish divisions will be looked at.
Gorin said Unilever will look at "all options" for the division, including tactical acquisitions, reorganization and partial or full sale.
The division was targeted as "a business that has underperformed," he said, and Unilever feels it is time to review the future of the business.
