Norwegian salmon prices are taking the expected hit next week, in the aftermath of the news of the Russian imports ban.
There is still great uncertainty, as few players have committed on prices for next week, but the indications are prices will drop by NOK 2 (€0.24/$0.32) to NOK 3 (€0.36/$0.48).
IntraFish talked with five different players this Friday lunchtime. Most report prices so far have not settled, and that most agreements are fixed on volume but without agreeing on a price.
