The family behind UK-based Alfred Enderby is looking for a buyer to take on the business, IntraFish has learnt.
The owners have hired Seafox Management Consultants to advise on the deal.
A sales prospectus seen by IntraFish does not name Alfred Enderby but states the business for sale is family-owned and part of the Grimsby Traditional Fish Smokers (GTFS) Group - an association which includes Alfred Enderby as well as Sealord Caister and two other smokers.
