The value of shrimp at UK retail sales saw a 2.5 percent drop this year, landing at £418.6 million (€532.7 million/$669.5 million), down from the previous year’s total of £429.2 million (€546.2 million/$686.4 million), according to most recently released figures by Nielsen.

The volume of shrimp sales dropped 10 percent to 34,281.5 metric tons from 38,109.9 metric tons – the second year in a row the volume has decreased.
