Total shrimp sales in the United Kingdom for the year ending Nov. 8, 2014, fell to £415.3 million (€527.6 million/$648 million), down 3 percent from the total of £428.3 million (€544 million/$668.2 million) recorded the year before.

Volume of sales dropped for the second consecutive year, falling to 33,475 metric tons, compared with 37,739 metric tons the previous year, according to the latest Nielsen statistics.

Chilled shrimp’s value dropped 1.8 percent to £295.3 million (€375 million/$460.7 million), while frozen shrimp’s value fell 5.8
