All eyes in the UK seafood sector are on WM Morrison Supermarkets, as the retailer gets closer to opening its own processing plant in Grimsby.
The plant is set to open in September 2012. It is safe to say that Young’s Seafood losing the fish counter contract is likely to be the tip of the iceberg in terms of impact on suppliers.
Not only are suppliers likely to be closely watching the development at the plant, other retailers are also likely to be following the developments.
