Kingfisher Fish and Chips, which won the Independent Takeaway Fish and Chip Shop of the Year category at the Seafish UK Fish and Chips last month, could become the first takeaway in the UK to be given a Michelin Star, reports The Daily Mail.
The shop is being “considered” by Michelin, reports the paper.
“Neither of us have ever eaten in a Michelin starred restaurant but we're delighted Michelin is considering us,” said Craig Maw, who runs the shop in Plympton, Devon.
