The department sent a letter to the attorneys representing the Ad Hoc Trade Action Committee and the Thai Frozen Foods Association, saying the American Shrimp Processors Association provide "quantitative" information disputing the contention of SSA and the other clients a majority of domestic processors no longer are interested in seeing the order extended.
In the Jan. 21 letter, the department asked for documentation showing processors who account fo about 85 percent of domestic product are no longer interested in seeing the duties extended, including "quantitative analysis" to show the processors who want the duties ended account for the level of production claimed.
