According to figures from the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), the United States imported 197.8 million kilos of shrimp from January through May, down slightly from 197.9 million kilos last year.
India exported the most peeled shrimp to the United States, 227,040 kilos worth $5 million (€3.6 million), up 16.2 percent from 199,000 kilos valued at $4.3 million (€3.1 million) last year.
