In the first half of this year, the United States has become an increasingly important market for Norwegian salmon, in particular fresh fillets, where the U.S. is the biggest market.
Chile’s problems sent the United States shooting up the list of the most important markets for Norwegian salmon, according to figures from the Norwegian Seafood Export Council (NSEC).
In the first half of last year, the United States was the 14th-largest market for Norwegian salmon, measured in export value, behind Hong Kong and ahead of Ukraine.
