Langoustine processors have voiced alarm at the crisis facing the sector in 2012 if the European Commission proceeds with its proposed severe cuts in the numbers of days at sea that fishing vessels are allocated.
Processors have thrown their weight behind the all out effort being made by the catching sector to get the cuts headed off at the December meeting of the European Council when next year’s quotas and effort cuts will be decided.
