Around €350,000 ($479,000) will fund the campaign from U.K. Sea Fish Industry Authority (Seafish), aimed at increasing consumer exposure to the message two portions of fish per week, one oily, should be part of a healthy diet.
At present, around 53 percent of consumers are aware of the two-a-week campaign, compared to 78 percent awareness of the five-a-day campaign for vegetables.
“We’re confident we'll see a change, that this strategy is the right approach,” spokesman James Wood told IntraFish.
