The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) will sit alongside Seafish as defendants and mean British Seafood Group will be taking on both authorities in its legal tussle.

The court hearing for the case is set for June 15, with a verdict expected before the end of the month.

In an exclusive statement to IntraFish, Seafish reiterated confidence in its defense of the case.
