Seafood distributor Channel Fisheries, began sending fresh, locally caught seafood to U.S.-based chefs in early-2009 – and the weak pound means its business continues to be strong.
The Brixham-based company, which recently won the contract to supply seafood celebrity chef Jamie Oliver’s range of Italian restaurants, said it began exporting smoked salmon to the U.S. market in February.
This has continued into the later part of the year, now with regular weekly business to East Coast United States.
