The new firm will have 250 employees, and could lead to an expansion of the company’s activities, the Press and Journal reported.
J&J Denholm Managing Director Robert Duthie said all existing jobs within the three companies are safe.
“[The merger] gives us the opportunity to explore exciting plans in developing the new business, while it also demonstrates our long-term commitment to the fishing industry in general and pelagic fishing in particular,” Duthie was quoted as saying.
