Pole and line caught tuna and Norway king crab tied for the top spot at this year Billingsgate Sustainable Seafood Award.

Fish at the event, held at London’s famed Billingsgate fish market, were judged not only by sustainability credentials, but by flavor as well.

A diverse set of species vied for the award. Rope grown blue mussels, Loch Duart salmon, European flat oysters and ASC certified pangasius were the other entrants.

The sustainability credentials of each product was stressed upon, sometimes in a lighthearted manner.

“Rope
