The North American lobster industry has seen its share of shifts, both negative and positive, lately.

Ocean Choice International put its plant in Prince Edward Island up for sale in late March and Live Lobster shut its plant down temporarily after its bank froze its checking accounts in late March.

Live Lobster was continuing to try to get access to its accounts as of last Tuesday but was unsuccessful at that time.

Ocean Choice International CEO Blaine Sullivan said the company is not exiting the lobster business, just the processing side of it.
