In June, IntraFish ran a story -- Poll and troll tuna group slams rival's MSC certification -- in which the American Albacore Fishing Association (AAFA) questioned why the Western Fishboat Owners Association (WFOA) chose to seek MSC accreditation when AAFA already had secured use of the eco-label.
The story, which also ran in the July issue of Seafood International, prompted a response from the American Fisherman’s Research Foundation (AFRF), which says its members were impacted by the allegations made by AAFA.
