France-based Aqualande -- which farms 6,000 metric tons of freshwater trout a year as well as producing around 2,000 metric tons of smoked product to sell under its Landvika and Ovive brands -- is seeing increased business because of the high price for salmon, a company representative told IntraFish.

“More will switch to trout; that is for sure. I can see the tendencies already,” said Morten Klausen.
