TripleNine Group, Europe’s largest producer of fishmeal and fish oil, is appointing a new chairman after Harald Rokenes decided to step down from his position at the upcoming general assembly in April. 

Rokenes will be succeeded by Torben Svejgaard, former CEO of Danish fish feed producer BioMar. He will be elected on April 14.

The move was planned and communicated to shareholders "for quite some time," TripeNine said.

Sveigaard resigned from BioMar in 2014 to focus on board work. He currently holds four other positions, within salmon processing, pig farming and pet food – all segments, which TripleNine Group addresses.
