California-based grocery store Trader Joe's and its Boston-based subsidiary Trader Joe’s East responded last week to a class action lawsuit residents filed against the company in January for allegedly "cheating customers by underfilling 5-ounce cans of Trader Joe’s store-brand tuna," according to court documents.

Trader Joe's alleged the claims of plaintiffs and class members lacked standing to sue "because plaintiffs have suffered no injury as a result of the matters alleged."

Also the plaintiffs allegedly do not have sufficient standing in their "misrepresentation and fraud" allegations against Trader Joe's, according to the defendants' response.
