Recent research from SINTEF, which forecasts Norwegian salmon production will grow from 7 to 14 million metric tons by 2050 -- depending on the country's political framework -- will form the backdrop to the the upcoming IntraFish Salmon Summit at the Aqua Nor show in Trondheim, Norway next week.
“In Trondheim we expect about 120 participants from the global salmon industry to take part,” said Heidi Leikanger, senior key account manager at IntraFish, said.
The target audience for the event includes senior managers from salmon companies, plus participants from banking, finance, politics and representatives of companies which supply equipment and services to the industry
IntraFish has arranged similar forums before at the seafood shows in Brussels, Boston and Trondheim, but this year a new panel discussion has been added to the summit.
