Chile’s Directorate of Fisheries (SERNAPESCA) this week released an updated list of farms in quarantine, and implemented a new sanitary program to reduce the incidence and prevalence of the virus.
The three new farms bring to 25 the total number presently classified as having an outbreak. Four additional farms were rated as suspicious, taking the total farms classified as such to 28. The number of farms in sanitary rest has increased to 53.
SERNAPESCA added a new risk category to include farms in quarantine with no presence of the virus or clinical manifestation of the disease but which are within a quarantined area close to a farm with an ISA outbreak.
