The U.K.-based giant announced it has signed a “partnership agreement” with the SFP to “independently review our fisheries,” as it also announced a commitment to source all its private label canned tuna from pole-and-line fisheries by the end of 2012.
IntraFish reported on Monday this move saw Tesco avoid finishing joint bottom – with Princes -- of Greenpeace’s retail ranking on canned tuna in the United Kingdom.
