UK-based retail giant Tesco will sell Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified lobster this Christmas for £6 (€8.60/$9.10) in a bid to win the price battle against competitors Aldi and Lidl, reports The Telegraph.
Last month, Lidle started promoting lobster at less than £5 (€7.10/$7.60) as part of its Christmas campaign, to be sold across the UK after being cooked and frozen in Canada.
Meanwhile, retailer Aldi announced it would display rock lobster tails at £9.99 (€14.20/$15.10), adding it will sell whole lobster four days before Christmas.
