Supermarket giant Tesco has raised hope of a bright future for a closure-threatened Cromer Crab seafood factory, after executives visited the plant to see if it was suitable for some of its UK production.
It is understood the visit on March 20 sparked a flurry of activity, as current Cromer Crab Company staff sought to impress the visitors, reports Norwich Evening News.
Meanwhile, there is growing hope the recent purchase of Cumbrian Seafoods by Cromer Crab Company’s parent firm Lion Capital could result in some Cumbrian business being transferred to the north Norfolk coast.
