Produced by The Fish Company on farms in Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, British tilapia is farmed to the highest standards with complete traceability, the company said Thursday.
Although tilapia is grown extensively in Asia and South and Central America, this is the first time fresh British-farmed tilapia has been available in this country, said The Fish Company's Hamish Bichan.
“There is a growing market for sustainably and ethically produced whitefish, which we believe we can help fulfill," said Bichan."Our fish are 100 percent UK produced and are not hormone treated.
