US retailer Target, known primarily for non-edible products ranging from electronics to clothing, is in the midst of remodeling 30 general merchandise stores across the country as part of its fresh food expansion, which includes a 20 percent increase in seafood products.

At this point, 1,100 of Target’s 1,763 stores across the United States now have Target’s “expanded food” layout, which includes 10,000 square feet for fresh and frozen food. The last wave of remodels spans markets in Ohio to Florida.

Target
