In a pilot project, the National Association of Small Boat Owners (NASBO) applied for KRAV certification for five boats operating out of southwest Iceland that target inshore cod, haddock and catfish, according to NASBO President Arthur Bogason.

The group plans on applying for certification for the inshore fleet as a whole once the pilot is complete. Processing firm Fiskval is taking part in the project.
