Michael and Tessa Dimin and their five children mulled over the idea for a few years, then decided to go into business together.
They launched Tobago Wild in January 2005, shipping mahi-mahi, blackfin tuna, wahoo, grouper and snapper to chefs in New York.
The fish are in the Caribbean Sea one day and on the table the next, said Sean Dimin.
“We really just fell in love with Tobago,” he said. “When we were there, we went out fishing and saw all these net fisherman brining in beautiful tuna.
