A decrease in supply of pollock caused problems for producers, especially in the United States, while price hikes in mid-July 2008 closed margins for manufacturers.
But with the worst of the recession – hopefully -- behind the industry, businesses are looking to 2010 and a new chance to push the processed product into new markets.
