Land-based salmon producer SweetSpring is in "transition" according to its Chairman Phillip David, but the company's future remains uncertain as it sells off equipment, downsizes staff, and re-examines whether or not it can be profitable.
David told IntraFish no final decision has been made about what to do with the company, aside from maintaining the coho brood stock.
"We're trying to figure out a way to move forward," he said. "We've had problems getting the fish's growth rate. It's been slower than expected and we're working to figure out why and how to fix it."
