Norwegian Atlantic salmon prices are seeing a strong recovery, rising by about NOK 5 (€0.57/$0.63) to NOK 6 (€0.68/$0.75) per kilogram after seeing two weeks of sharp drops.
According to industry watchers canvassed by IntraFish, prices rise above NOK 40 (€4.50/$5) per kilogram for salmon bigger than 4 kilograms. Due to higher volumes of size 2-3 and size 3-4, prices for smaller fish lag slightly behind.
All farmers have worked to get the price up," one independent exporter told IntraFish. When the prices came down, some started freezing.
