An Alaska fishing group is demanding the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) to apologize for a new YouTube video it said damages both certified and non-certified fisheries.
The Alaska Fisheries Development Foundation (AFDF), which is the client for MSC-certified cod fisheries in the Bering Sea and the Gulf of Alaska, linked the new campaign to a past MSC media debacle known as Stinky Fish.
In that campaign in 2008, the MSC and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) teamed up to produce a YouTube-based promotion for MSC-certified seafood.
