Boston-based seafood company Stavis Seafoods was fined $173,168 by the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OHSA) for safety infractions, reports Turn to 10.

Authorities found 20 different infractions at the company’s cold storage facility in South Boston.

Among the infractions, the OHSA said the alarm system in a room where ammonia was being used as a refrigerant was not working, and the cooling system had not been properly inspected.

In March 2015, a worker died at the company trying to escape ammonia fumes.
