The company told IntraFish it is looking for a candidate that has seafood experience in a leadership capacity, though not necessarily in the tuna business but perferably someone with international experience.
"This is an immediate opening, so we would like to bring someone on as soon as possible," the company said.
StarKist Chairman Ingu Park arrived last week at the company's Pittsburgh, Pa., headquarters and is serving as interim CEO while leading the search for a full-time replacement for Donald Binotto, who was removed last month as head of the company.
