To me, tilapia was the species of the decade that just ended. No other fish moved so fast, so quickly, to the levels of commercial success seen by the fish that's been around thousands of years.
Pangasius was a solid second choice for its impressive gains around the world, and is poised to continue that strong upward trend. Salmon, too, can't be forgotten -- despite the controversy surrounding it, more people are eating more salmon now than ever before, and even more are expected to in the future.
