"A long-term disruption in one part of the supply chain is going to have economic ramifications elsewhere, and that is what Mintel believes could happen. The longer the oil spill continues, the more likely the overall supply of some seafood will shrink, increasing prices throughout," said the "special alert" issued by Mintel International Group.
