Congelados Marinos Promar -- which specializes in imports from Peru and is a Mercadona supplier -- and fishing vessel operator and processor Frigorificos Fandino have merged, creating a group that will enter the top ten Spanish seafood companies in size.
Executives from the companies have not provided any comment, other than to confirm the merger to IntraFish.
The combined group will have a turnover of between €110 million ($153.3 million) and €120 million ($167.3 million).
According to sources, the new holding company will be controlled by Frigorificos Fandino.
