The main objective of the meeting is to update the status of marine and aquaculture resources in Galicia and the rest of Spain, and promote contact among research centers, companies and public institutions.

More than 300 representatives from Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ireland, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Venezuela and Spain attended the previous meeting.

The forum will have five roundtables that will address issues including shellfishing, in-shore fishing, aquaculture, companies and resources, product quality, and biotechnology.

There will be three presentations to show the achievements and activities of marine and aquaculture resources, and a prize for the best panel.
